Michael Henry Dicker (sole trader, trading as WAXMATS) is the data controller for waxmats.co.uk. Questions: materialmike@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Order details: name, email, delivery address, phone (if given) and what you bought, collected by Stripe at checkout.
• Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Artwork: images you add to the basket from the designer are uploaded so we can print them. Artwork you only preview stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
• Your account: if you sign in, we keep your email address, the designs you choose to save (including their artwork) and a list of your orders.
• Visitor statistics: we count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or identify you.

Why

To make and deliver your order, handle returns and answer your questions (performance of a contract), and to keep accounting records (legal obligation).

How long

Order records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Artwork uploaded with an order is deleted automatically 120 days after upload. Saved designs stay in your account until you delete them; to close your account and delete everything, email us.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting and storage), Resend (sending order and sign-in emails), Cloudflare (visitor statistics) and our delivery carrier (name and address only). We don’t sell your data or use advertising trackers.

Cookies and storage

We don’t use tracking cookies. If you sign in, we set one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your basket is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s there when you come back. Stripe sets cookies on its checkout page for fraud prevention.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
